COVID-19 Regional Recovery Fund & Warren County Emergency Relief Fund

The Warren County Short-Term Review Team continues to meet and they have made 43 grants totaling $349,100 to 30 different non-profits through September 23, 2020.  The collaboration continues with United Way of Warren County, Warren County Community Services, and Warren County Foundation.  Funds are available from the Regional Recovery Fund and the Warren County Emergency Relief Fund for future grants .

  1. Abuse & Rape Crisis Shelter of Warren County -$10,000 – 4/8/20 - grant for county-wide services to individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and sexual assault.
  2. Abuse & Rape Crisis Shelter of Warren County - $2,500 – 7/8/20 - Grant to ARCS to cover the renovation and labor in their Shelter to increase the number of families served.  COVID-19 has compounded the need and demand for additional shelter space.
  3. American Red Cross - $5,000 – 5/13/20 - grant to the American Red Cross for blood services in Warren County to collect plasma to combat COVID-19.
  4. The Arts Alliance - $10,000 – 6/3/20 -grant to support the loss of revenue from suspended programming and the plans for new programming during the recovery phase.
  5. Atrium Medical Center Foundation - $10,000 – 4/1/20 - grant for raw materials so volunteers can make masks and gowns.
  6. Atrium Medical Center Foundation - $8,000 – 4/15/20 - grant for the purchase of one Abbott IDNOW Molecular Platform Rapid Testing device to provide rapid testing for COVID-19 for patients and employees.
  7. Atrium Medical Center Foundation - $17,000 – 4/29/20 -matching grant for two additional rapid testing devices.  The Atrium Medical Center Foundation to raise an additional $17,000.  The four testing devices would be deployed across Warren County for COVID-19 testing.
  8. Atrium Medical Center Foundation - $7,000 – 6/10/20 - Grant to purchase five (5) tablets for use in isolation rooms so patients can communicate with their families.
  9. Beech Acres Parenting Center - $8,000 – 6/18/20 - Follow-up grant to support identified families in Warren County needing assistance because of COVID-19.
  10. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati – $10,000 – 4/22/20 -grant to support staff and volunteers in Warren County providing case management to youth and their families.
  11. Camp Joy Foundation - $10,000 – 8/3/20 - grant to support skeleton operations and the operating gap because of no on-site programming during COVID-19. 
  12. Child Advocacy Center of Warren County - $2,500 – 5/27/20 - grant will support the additional supplies needed to follow guidelines and create safety for staff and families visiting the Child Advocacy Center.
  13. Coalition of Care - $7,500 – 9/23/20 - grant to support the multiple software licensing fees for the CarePortal platform to be used by agencies and school districts in Warren County to meet the needs of vulnerable children and fragile families,.
  14. Community Building Initiative Middletown, Inc. - $5,000 – 5/20/20 -matching grant with Butler County to support their Parent Resource Center Baby Pantry and Youth Feeding Program.
  15. Countryside YMCA - $10,000 – 4/1/20 – grant to support emergency child care supporting    additional staffing and supplies.
  16. Countryside YMCA - $1,200 – 8/19/20 - grant to provide physical education classes at the John Lazares Alternative School this fall because the students cannot be transported to the YMCA during COVID-19.
  17. Cub Scout Pack 528 (Lebanon Optimist Club) - $3,000 – 4/13/20 -grant for 100 Saturday meals for children and senior citizens in the Metropolitan Housing Village on East Ridge Drive in Lebanon.
  18. Cub Scout Pack 528 (Lebanon Optimist Club) - $2,400 – 5/13/20 -Follow-up grant for Saturday meals for children and senior citizens in the Metropolitan Housing Village on East Ridge Drive in Lebanon.
  19. FAITH Emergency Services, Inc. - $6,000 – 4/13/20 -grant for food and other needs for residents of Deerfield Township, South Lebanon, Mason, and Shadow Lake Trailer Park.
  20. Franklin Area Community Services - $10,000 – 5/13/20 -grant to the Franklin Area Community Services to more than 700 families needing basic services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  21. Goodwill EasterSeals Miami Valley - $2,000 – 8/19/20 - grant to support the purchase of a Medify Air Purifier, filters, and activity boxes for Lebanon Adult Day Services participants and staff for a safer environment during COVID-19.
  22. Interfaith Hospitality Network - $10,000 –4/8/20 - grant to offset the cost of motel rooms for sheltered homeless families.
  23. Joshua’s Place - $5,000 – 4/15/20 -grant to support grocery store and restaurant gift cards used in four Warren County school districts for at-risk children and families.
  24. Joshua’s Place - $5,000 – 4/29/20 -follow-up grant to support store and restaurant gift cards used in four Warren County school districts for at-risk children and families.
  25. Kindness Backpack Program - $6,000 – 6/10/20 – Grant to support families and children in the Franklin City Schools with essential supplies and school fee scholarships as a result of COVID-19.
  26. The Marriage School - $5,000 – 6/25/20 - Grant to support awareness effort across Warren County to engage married couples and families with The Marriage School to address pressure caused by COVID-19 on marriages.
  27. Ohio Living Foundation -$7,000 – 4/22/20 -grant to support unexpected expenses from COVID-19 at the Ohio Living Quaker Heights facility in Waynesville, OH.
  28. Ohio Restaurant Employee Relief Fund - $5,000 – 4/22/20 -grant to help laid-off restaurant workers in Warren County with basic needs of food, shelter, and medical expenses.
  29. Otterbein SeniorLife - $5,000 – 7/1/20 - Grant to Otterbein SeniorLife to help purchase outdoor furniture and equipment for the lakefront pavilion to provide safe outdoor areas for residents.
  30. Society of St. Vincent de Paul St. Francis de Sales Lebanon Conference - $5,000 – 4/29/20 -grant to support those needing help with rent, utilities, food, and medicine,
  31. Springboro Community Assistance Center - $5,000 – 4/1/20 -grant to support direct food assistance, financial assistance, and counseling services for at-risk families.

  33. SVPD, St. Phillip the Apostle Church - $5,000 – 5/6/20 -the church in Morrow/South Lebanon is offering a number of services to the surrounding community.
  34. United Way of Warren County - $30,000 – 4/13/20 -grant to support expansion of successful pilot program to support 2,000 senior citizens with food and other supplies.
  35. United Way of Warren County - $5,000 – 4/22/20 -grant to support purchase of quality laptops with software for employees and volunteers to remotely work from home.
  36. United Way of Warren County - $25,000 – 5/27/20 -follow-up grant will support the expansion of the UWWC/WCCS Adopt a Senior Program.
  37. Warren County Chamber Alliance - $20,000 – 7/15/20 - grant toward a pro-business and pro-chamber marketing campaign to support business in the County and build relationships with local Chambers of Commerce.  Businesses and Chambers continue to have financial impact from COVID-19.
  38. Warren County Community Services - $1,000 matching funds for vulnerable senior citizens. 3/25/20 - the following contributed to this effort:  Council on Aging - $2,000; UWWC - $1,000; and WCCS - $1,000.
  39. Warren County Community Services/Meals on Wheels - $20,000 – 4/15/20 -grant to purchase a new steamer to double the capacity of Meals on Wheels to serve additional senior citizens during and after the Coronavirus Pandemic across Warren County.
  40. Warren County Community Services - $15,000 – 5/27/20 -grant to provide technology and connectivity resources for families to support learning for preschool children.
  41. Wayne Local School District (The Waynesville Way) - $5,000 – 4/9/20 -grant to support meals and other supplies for laid-off workers and senior citizens through The Waynesville Way program.
  42. Wayne Local School District (The Waynesville Way) - $5,000 – 5/6/20 -follow-up grant to support The Waynesville Way program.
  43. YMCA Camp Kern - $8,000 – 6/10/20 - Grant to make required upgrades from COVID-19 to the camp for their opening of summer camp on July 5, 2020.
