The policy for donors to select investment options applies to all funds held by the Warren County Foundation except the Warren County Foundation Unrestricted Funds. Charitable Checking Accounts by nature are short term accounts.
A fund under $25,000 may choose the investment manager from Warren County Foundation’s current approved managers and will be invested with a balanced asset allocation (60% equity and 40% fixed).
A fund $25,000 or more may choose the investment manager from Warren County Foundation’s current approved managers and will choose the asset allocation for the investment.
A fund $100,000 or more may continue with the financial advisor who is the current manager and/or choose an investment manager beyond those offered by Warren County Foundation. The approval of the Finance/Investment Committee is required.
All funds will receive performance information for the period ending December and June. A fund will be able to change investment managers and/or asset allocation during a 10 day window after receiving the reports. Funds under $25,000 need approval of Finance/Investment Committee to change managers. Donors with large balances in their Charitable Checking Accounts will be contacted to determine their future plans.
