The Warren County Foundation celebrated their 17th Annual Community Service Awards on Thursday, June 6, at the Manor House in Mason. The special event included a full evening with Social Hour; Food Stations; presentation of six Community Service Awards; and musical selections from the Springboro Wind Symphony.
The Community Service Awards were presented in six categories. The George R. Henkle Philanthropy & Community Service Award went to attorney Jackson Hedges for his many years of service to Lebanon and the surrounding communities. Jennifer Maynard received the Emerging Leader Community Service Award for her dedicated work at Sinclair College Mason in workforce development and volunteer work with many local nonprofits. The Warren County Historical Society (Michael Coyan, Executive Director) received the Outstanding Organization Community Service Award for more than 80 years of working to conserve, preserve, and present the rich legacy of art, history, and culture of Warren County and Southwest Ohio. The Emerging Organization Community Service Award went to Heritage at Miami Bluffs Men’s Club (Mike Schaltz & Steve Lowe) who raise money, make grants, and do projects for individuals and organizations in Warren County. The Outstanding Large Business Community Service Award went to MANE, Inc. (Amy McDonald, President) in Lebanon. MANE is the largest independently owned flavor company in the world renowned for innovation and expertise in creating natural flavors, colors, flavor technologies, and seasonings. Class 101 in Springboro (Karen & Tony DeRosa) received the Outstanding Small Business Community Service Award. Class 101 empowers students and alleviate the stress of college planning for families. President & CEO of the Dayton YMCA’s Dale Brunner and Chair of the Foundation Board, was master of ceremonies for the event. Proclamations were presented to the award recipients by State Senator Steve Wilson and State Representative Scott Lipps. |
