The Kiwanis Club of Lebanon, Ohio, recently concluded a two-month fund drive to benefit the Warren County Foundation’s Warren County Imagination Library Endowment Fund. The Club donated total of $10,502, monies contributed by individual members and their businesses. The Club conducted also conducted a bake sale and a raffle.

With co-sponsorship by local partners, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library delivers free high-quality, age-appropriate books to millions of young children across the country every month. In Ohio, the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library helps all county organizations with their portion of the expense. Warren County Foundation is in the process of building an endowment of $6 million, which will fund the program in Warren County in perpetuity. Currently, over 10,000 young  children in Warren County have participated in the program.

The Lebanon Kiwanians have issued a challenge to other Warren County civic organizations to “meet or beat” their donation. Organizations interested in taking up the challenge can contact Julie McClellan, Club Secretary, at juliesanvidge@hotmail.com
