Miller Ecological Park has grown from humble beginnings into one of Lebanon’s most visited parks. The popularity of the park has grown immensely, especially in a time when individuals and families are looking for places to connect outdoors. Due to this increased use, the lone port-o-let was no longer adequately serving the needs of the park users. The new center includes restroom facilities, picnic shelter, and storage for volunteer activities.
To better serve park users and the community, the Savage Welcome Center was dedicated on March 29, 2023. The facility was made possible by a lead gift from local businessman and philanthropist, Kent Savage, in memory of Martha Savage, beloved wife and mother.
Additional leadership gifts came from the following donors: Catherine Chasteen; Harmon Civic Trust; Paul & Cynthia Holzschuher; Barbara Mullett Ladewski; Miller Ecological Park Trust; Matthew & Laura Eversman Myerhotz; Nancy & Dave Myerholtz; Michael Mullett & Patricia Mullett; Michael & Amy Schneider; David & Loraine Woehr; and Warren County Foundation.
The project was made possible by the partnership between the Miller Ecological Park Trustees, the Warren County Foundation, the City of Lebanon, and the many donors who supported the project.
