The Warren County Foundation awarded five $10,000 Impact Grants in 2020. During the first four years of the program, 18 Impact Grants have been awarded. Impact Grants are one of the goals of the 2016 strategic plan for the Foundation. The five Impact Grants were awarded to Beech Acres Parenting Center; Countryside YMCA; Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc.; Warren County Imagination Library Endowment; and Waynesville Area Heritage & Cultural Center at the Friends Home, Inc.
Beech Acres Parenting Center – With the grant, Beech Acres Parenting Center will grow and refine Beyond the Classroom in Warren County during the 2020-2021 school year. This is the second Impact Grant in a row for Beech Acres. Beyond the Classroom will expand to serve 20 partner schools throughout greater Cincinnati, including five in Kings Local School District. Beyond the Classroom will continue support tailored to each individual and school both face-to-face and through telehealth.
Countryside YMCA – The Impact Grant will support the ForeverWell Program provides senior programming in a safe environment that is focused on physical fitness, mind strengthening, chronic disease prevention, and social engagement. Seniors age 60 years and older will be provided the opportunity to join a program that will help them thrive and live a better quality of life by improving their health, both physically and mentally, while being in a safe “COVID-19” environment.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc. – No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town! The group delivers the beds, equipped with mattresses, sheets, pillows, and a blanket and they partner with organizations, churches, businesses, and individuals to build them at events called “Build Days.” The Impact Grant will support a Build Day, building 28 bunk beds for a total of 56 beds.
Warren County Imagination Library – The Impact Grant will go to the Warren County Imagination Library Endowment. The first three-year pilot program is supported by the five Warren County Library Districts. Impact Grants
Subject to the availability of funds, the Warren County Foundation shall also make one or more Impact Grants usually in December of each year, of not less than $10,000 each.
