Community Service Leaders Recognized

Leaders in community service were recognized recently at the Warren County Foundation’s Community Service Awards Banquet at the Manor House in Mason. Two individuals and one organization were presented awards by Mike Hartsock of WHIO-TV and Spence Cropper, Chair of the foundation’s Board of Trustees.
The George Henkle Philanthropy and Community Service award was presented to Michael Geygan. Mike has worked with multiple organizations on many community projects, including the successful effort to bring Sinclair Community College to Warren County. He and wife Karen live in Landen and own and operate Minuteman Press in Lebanon.
The Emerging Leader in Community Service Award was awarded to David Beckett. He has held leadership positions and been a volunteer with several community organizations, events and programs. He is President of Dakin Insurance and he and wife Michelle live in Kings Mills.
The Outstanding Organization in Community Service Award was presented to the Kiwanis Club of Mason. The club has a long and successful history of supporting community projects, especially those benefitting children. Jack Flaherty, Mason Kiwanis president, accepted the award on behalf of the club.
Entertainment was provided by the members of the Cincinnati Opera and Jay Mills.

The Warren County Foundation is a not-for-profit Community Foundation.
