The Warren County Foundation continues the Impact Grant Program for 2019. In the first year of the program, the Foundation awarded four $10,000 Impact Grants in 2017. The Impact Grant program is part of the Foundation’s Strategic Plan.
The first Impact Grant was funded by the Cunningham Institute for Growth and was given by the Warren County Foundation to United Way of Warren County for their Workforce Development Initiative. The unique strategic alliance includes United Way, Franklin City Schools, Kings Local Schools, Wayne Local Schools, JBM Envelope, ADVICS and GMi Companies.
The second Impact Grant was awarded to Services/Programs for At-Risk Youth in Warren County. The implementation is being coordinated by Warren County Family and Children First Council, United Way of Warren County, and Warren County Foundation. More than 120 organizations and agencies providing services to at-risk youth are being targeted.
The third Impact Grant went to the Coalition of Care for the Warren County Family Mobilization project. The Coalition will work with Warren County Children Services to mobilize new foster families in the county to decrease the many negative outcomes of sending children to other counties. The project is designed to provide tangible solutions to the severe shortage of licensed foster families in Warren County.
The fourth Impact Grant for 2017 was awarded to the Child Advocacy Center of Warren County. The project will help educate 450 adults in the county school systems to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The mission of CACWC is to serve abused and neglected children through multi-agency response of intervention and education.
