The Warren County Foundation celebrated their 16th Annual Community Service Awards and 25th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, June 8, at the Manor House in Mason. The special event included a full evening with Social Hour; Food Stations; presentation of six Community Service Awards; celebrating the 25th Anniversary Stepping Stones; announcement of our Forever Endowment; and a Fireworks Display contributed by Rozzi Fireworks.

The Community Service Awards were presented in six categories. The George R. Henkle Philanthropy & Community Service Award went to Peggy Darragh-Jeromos for her many years of service to Franklin and the surrounding communities. Brodi Conover received the Emerging Leader Community Service Award for his dedicated work at Bricker Graydon, his leadership in the local and state community and with his church.
Leadership Warren County received the Outstanding Organization Community Service Award for 22 years of leadership training and 318 individuals completing the year-long program. The award was presented to Bill Thornton and Arla Tannehill who have led the program since its inception. The Emerging Organization Community Service Award went to Warren County Imagination Library. The award was presented to Larry Hollingshead. Today, more than 64 percent of Warren County’s eligible children are enrolled and are receiving free books from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
The Outstanding Large Business Community Service Award went to Otterbein SeniorLife and was presented to Jill Wilson and some of her staff. The organization was recognized for many years of service to senior citizens of Lebanon, western Ohio and central Indiana. Otterbein serves nearly 7,000 seniors annually through 21 locations. Manor House received the Outstanding Small Business Community Service for providing flexible space and services for weddings, business meetings and events, and other special occasions. The award was presented to the owners of the Manor House, David & Janet Nelson. Warren County Commissioner Shannon Jones and Chair of the Foundation Board, was mistress of ceremonies for the event. Proclamations were presented to the award recipients by State Senator Steve Wilson and State Representatives Scott Lipps and Adam Mathews.
